THE BRIDE & HER CHRIST

Jesus is not yet the HUSBAND of the CHURCH (technically speaking I will explain, remember clear your mind) never will you see in the bible (standard translations of the bible) where Jesus was called the husband of the church. Rather He is the GROOM because we are His BRIDE.

We are His BRIDE not WIFE!!!!!! Not just yet.

We will become His wife at the Marriage supper of the Lamb, that is the 'reception' which will hold in HEAVEN at the congregation of all the saints (church) after the rapture. This is the second leg of God's marriage process.

To understand that, you will need to understand how marriage is done the God-kind of way.

Let me explain it to you in a capsule.

There are 2 stages

1. Kiddushin (Betrothal)

Matthew 1:18

Christ Born of Mary Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.

The bible made it clear in that verse that Kiddushin has been carried out between Joseph and Mary, but Chuppah has not yet happened.

Kiddushin mean betrothal - a pledge to marry. It is actually ENGAGEMENT!

But God takes engagement very seriously, Mary's engagement to Joseph made her part of that lineage of David & Abraham. That was why Mary could be impregnated by the Holy Ghost because since she was engaged to Joseph, she has joined the lineage that is supposed to bring forth the Messiah.

Secondly, since Jesus' birth is supposed to be immaculate, Chuppah CANNOT happen because Chuppah ends with marriage consummation. which the bible calls the MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.

This is what the church is going to do in heaven. And we are not staying long because we are coming right back to earth for our Honeymoon with Christ for a 1,000years.

The Kiddushin process includes the payment of all the price (Bride Price et al) necessary to get a bride by the Groom and a token something of value (ring) is exchanged.

According to Torah law, there are three ways to betroth a woman:

1 a) A money transaction. The man gives to the woman money or any object of value. b) A document. The man gives the woman a marriage document which states his intention to marry her.

2 c) Sexual intercourse with the intention that it consummates the marriage.

The rabbis forbade betrothing though intercourse, making it a punishable offense.

THE ENTIRE PASSION OF CHRIST IS THE KIDDUSHIN. He courted us because he sooooo Loved us and was willingly to pay the price (BRIDE PRICE) with His Life and gave us a token of this Kiddushin as His Blood and Name (which is His LIFE).

Anyone that accepts & believes in His death, resurrection & in Him is automatically ENGAGED TO CHRIST AND HENCE BECOMES HIS BRIDE.

NOTE: Kiddushin cannot be broken, the breaking of Kiddushin is the same as DIVORCE. That's why we can't lose our salvation too.

2. Chuppah The final leg of marriage, this includes standing under a canopy before a Rabbi after vows are exchanged the BREAKING OF GLASS is carried out then the YICHUD (marriage consummation) is done. This involves the mother of the bride laying a white cloth on the bed where the couple will consummate the marriage. This determines the virginity of the Bride.

That is why Jesus is washing us with water by the word so we can be presented pure to Him on that day of the Chuppah (Eph 5:26-27). For further reading on a picture painted by Christ on the Chuppah, read Luke 14:16-24.
