HUMAN SPIRIT Part 1

You might have had the experience am about to describe especially when you were much younger or when you recently gave your life to Christ. Or probably seen or heard about babies or children display some spiritual perception.

I recently heard how a boy who just turned 1 could tell that the mom just got pregnant. I've also heard of how, I think a 3 year old, tried to get her father not to make a certain trip knowing he won't come back. But the father shoved it aside and that was the last trip he ever made. I have also heard of a six years old who dropped off the Dad in the airport with his Mom, while the Dad boarded and the plane took off, he asked his Mum if his Dad was in that plane. She answered 'Yes', he screamed to get his Dad out, she said it was already too late and asked him why he is screaming and crying. He said the plane will crash into the mountains. True to his word, the plane crashed and his Dad died. Question is, how come the parents, both believers and Spirit-filled didn't know that danger laid ahead? (Am sure you have heard or experienced such things from kids too. I would love to read about them if you leave a comment)

Man is TRIPARTITE meaning Man is primarily

1. A SPIRIT that

2. Possesses A SOUL

3. They both LIVE IN A BODY

Your body is NOT YOU it is just a SPIRIT-SUIT required by your spirit to exist on earth. The same way an Astronaut needs a BODY SUIT to exist in space or else he/she will die.

If anything happens to the body suit, the Astronaut dies same way if anything happens to the body the spirit who DOES NOT DIE will 'die' by leaving the body (spirit-suit) and transit to another realm of eternal Joy or sorrow.

The REAL YOU is not your body it is YOUR SPIRIT. The 'you' reading this is not your body it is your spirit VIA your soul. Your body is lifeless without your spirit. It is like the coat in your wardrobe, nobody calls it by your name. But once you wear it, it will be called by your name, the coat will start to move and come to 'life'. When you get home you remove the coat and hang it, the same coat that was 'alive' becomes lifeless. This means the coat has no life of its own except the one the body gives it, same way the body is lifeless without the spirit.

Here's my point.

A lot of people reminisce about their spiritual perception in the past. Maybe when they were newly born again or as kids and they wonder what has happened to them now. They THINK or FEEL they have LOST the 'GIFT'. Some will say they USED to know things or they see the future in their dreams etc. but somehow right now that spiritual sensitivity has weaned from them. Some will say they USED to hear from God but right now it seems like He's far from them. And many other classic cases of how drawn away from God they feel.

I have GOODNEWS for you. God NEVER STEPPED ONE INCH AWAY FROM YOU! He said in His Word he will never leave you nor forsake you. Besides He is everywhere. He is OMNIPRESENT so He is everywhere stop saying He is not close to you, He is closer to you than the breath in your nostrils.

You might ask, 'Why don't I feel Him as i used to?' Why is my spiritual sensitivity clogged?'

One of the reasons is SIN. Sin SEPARATES you from God. More so, you MIND has been clogged!!!!! And attention has deviated from God!

Ways to get back to how it used to be, are;

A. Repentance

1.You need to CONSCIOUSLY and EARNESTLY seek his face. Constantly commune with Him keep Him in your thoughts.

Deuteronomy 4:29 (KJV) But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, IF thou SEEK him with

ALL THY HEART (spirit) and with ALL THY SOUL. If is a condition. The psalmist says its pride not to seek the Lord.

Psalms 10:4 (KJV)

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

What also has clogged your spiritual sensitivity is that:

2.You have CLOGGED the BRIDGE. Your born again human spirit is still sensitive and receives signals from heaven and God but your consciousness has lost the ability to receive the signals from heaven because the bridge BETWEEN your spirit and your consciousness has been clogged.

2 Corinthians 4:16 (KJV)

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

The human spirit (inward man) never ages neither does it lose spiritual sensitivity rather the bridge into your consciousness has been clogged. So it appears as if your spiritual perception is 'LOST'.

The BRIDGE is the SOUL. When you fill your soul and mind with filth, you gradually clog your spiritual perception route. I don't mean you perceive God through your mind, you perceive God through your human spirit, but you need your mind to retain what you perceived in order to recall it. We were advocated to unclog it erase the filth through study and thinking good thoughts and download fresh information that will sharpen our perception.

Romans 12:2 (KJV)

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove (test, perceive) what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Another reason is:

3.You pay more attention to your spirit-suit (BODY) than you do the real MAN (spirit). Do a little calculation HOW MUCH TIME & MONEY you spend at/on work, play, talking, social media, TV & Movies, eating, drinking, clothes, beauty products etc and time SPENT IN GOD's PRESENCE, STUDYING and PRAYING. I bet you will see and notice a sharp contrast. We need to spend time in study and so doing, heightens our spiritual perception
