Another look 👀 at FAITH

Romans 14:23 (NIV) .... and everything that does not come from faith is sin. This scripture sometimes confuses people, 'anything not of faith is sin' (KJV). Every confusion ceases when we understand what 'sin' is. Sin is an action, could be passive as well, when taken; causes a strain in relationship or separation from God. If we insert it in this verse it reads thus: "...and everything that does not come from faith will cause a strain or separation from God". Makes sense now? I guess it does.

I can then say: When we don't walk in faith, it causes a strain in our relationship with God. Here's a scripture to support the statement. Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please him:

The word impossible is a very strong word. When someone is not pleased with you, you are not in a good place with that person. I guess our key scripture now makes sense. Following this thought in the next part in this series, we will look at putting our faith to use in some uncommon places such as raising kids etc
